Description :
KING BEE - HOT PISTOL / HEADACHE / ZIP GUN 7" pressed on WHIZEAGLE RECORDS. Pressed on BLACK vinyl. The record REMAINS UNPLAYED and the sleeve LOOKS to be in MINT- shape. I can't remember the situation on this one, but I think they pressed more records than sleeves and then had to make copies of the sleeve from the original sleeve. This appears to be one of the few copies they had to make.

King Bee was a band formed in Portland, Oregon in 1976 and consisted of Fred Cole on vocals and guitar, Mark Sten on bass, and Pat Conner on drums. Cole had sung and written songs for bands such as The Weeds (also known as Lollipop Shoppe), and Zipper, but King Bee marked his debut as a guitarist. According to Cole's wife (and Conner's sister) Toody, the band initially sounded "grungy, rhythm and bluesy, swampy" but "happened to get a spot playing in Portland on the bill with The Ramones the first time they came through." King Bee was inspired by the high-energy punk sounds of The Ramones, and in 1978 released the low-fidelity single "Hot Pistol" on Cole's Whizeagle label. However, the band soon folded, and Cole's frustration with short-lived lineups led him to teach Toody how to play bass, leading to the formation of THE RATS and later DEAD MOON.


The record is graded VISUALLY. I AM TRYING TO DESCRIBE THE ITEM TO THE BEST DESCRIPTION AS POSSIBLE TO BE TRUE AND CORRECT. I am selling all my records and will list as many as I can starting with the LP's and then moving over to the 7" singles. I have many records to go through as well as test pressings and eventually posters. I have been collecting records for over 20 years now, mostly hardcore, punk, indie, noise, industrial and rock with the occasional experimental, hip hop, or country record which will all be listed with in the next few months. I have always kept the records in a mylar (plastic) sleeve, stored them standing up and never laid flat unless they were on the turntable being played. Now it is time for someone else to own them.
