Description

This has static-like surface noise and a few pops but doesn't look deeply marked. Light scuffs when up to light held. Maybe it needs to be deep cleaned... It crackles a bit but the music is very 3D - a great recording by Van Gelder. Blakey's hi-hat sounds particularly good. Sleeve has some corner weirdness (photo).
I think it's a 2nd pressing/ 60's issue - NEW YORK, USA on label as opposed to 47 W. 63rd but has same catalog # and mono pressing of 1958 original. RVG stamped on the matrix. Warhol on the cover.
