KATMANDU - "self titled" LP, on the Mainstream label. This is an original US PROMO pressing in incredible condition.(Please see below for full report, images and sound clips) Katmandu weave many influences into their acid laced sound. Blues / Rock guitar riffs sit well with the Funk based drum paterns on many of the tracks. The palying on this LP is superb and hard to deny... CONDITION:

A note on grading I use the Record Collector grading system with the addition of a (+) or a (-) to denote a slight increase or decrease in condition. Items described with an aural grade have been carefully played on a Thorens TD-124 MKII with an SME 3012 Tonearm and Ortofon SPU moving Coil Cartridge.

Record:
The deeply seductive full glossy sheen of the surfaces feature a full lustre under direct angled light, and only the very faintest of paper scuffs under direct angled light. The disk is flat with no warp or buckle of any kind. The wonderful PROMO Mainstream labels show very, very light signs of use to the spindle hole only. There is no writing, rips, stickers or other detractors. The audio quality of this pressing is superb. Overall grade both visually and aurally = EX+ (Excellent Plus ) …Please take the time to study the images above and listen to the sound clips which I hope illustrate the condition of this record far better than wordy descriptions

Cover:

The unlaminated pasted back sleeve cover has retained much of it’s original colour, the edges are straight and the corners show light bruising only. The spine is fully legible and the opening edge is sharp. The bottom seam has sheared about 1” to the opening edge. The pasted back cover still retains much of it’s original black colour. No, writing, stickers, rips or tears. Overall Grade = EX (Excellent) Please take the time to study the images above for a clear view of condition
