For sale is an extremely rare, first pressing, original 1968 UK mono vinyl of the iconic July album. This is the 1st pressing that includes the grooved label and 1B matrix endings. I happen to know that this would have been one of the very first pressings as the album comes from original member and my father, Jon Field, so it's unlikely you'd get an earlier pressing! Considering the album is nearly 50 years old i would say the condition was very good. The cover still has the laminated finish and the colour has not faded. The spine is slightly misshaped but July and MMLP29 are clearly visible. The inner sleeve has slight yellowing and minor small tears which hopefully the photos show. I asked a colleague of mine who has knowledge of old vinyl to play it on his excellent system and give me his opinion on the vinyl quality and he said there are some clicks on the first track on both sides, but barely audible. Nothing noticeable on the hairline mark, plays extremely well with just a hint of a warp. Overall condition good to very good. These are rare as hens teeth for any serious collector.
