Description
"Killing Machine" is the fifth studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on October 9th, 1978. The album saw Judas Priest head towards a more commercial style;however it did still contain the dark lyrical themes as heard in their previous albums. At about the same time, the band members adopted their now- famous "leather and studs" image. "Killing Machine" was retitled "Hell Bent for Leather" for US release as the US branch of Colombia/CBS did not like the "murderous implications" of the album title. This is the first Judas Priest album where Glenn Tipton incorporated the guitar technique of tapping into his soloing style. This is also the final album for drummer Les Binks who had joined the band in late 1977 for the recording of "Stained Class", he is credited with helping develop the traditional Priest percussive sound. This record is the Original 1978 UK CBS Label / Limited Edition "Red Vinyl" Pressing. The record is visually graded as EX++/NM Condition! Stunning! The cover is graded as VG++. I have never played this record as I knew it was a very rare copy to have..and quite collectable in the Priest Collection. I also have the US version on vinyl and on CD. Record was also stored in a heavy duty anvil case and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received. Media Mail will take 3 to 5 weeks due to being shipped by boat from Hawaii..not air! Priority is $11,not $7 from Hawaii. International bidders please contact.
