Description

Second and final studio album by Joy Division, originally released in July 1980 shortly after the death of Ian Curtis. Produced by Martin Hannett and issued on Factory Records, Closer is widely regarded as one of the defining albums of the post-punk era, featuring classics such as Isolation, Heart and Soul and Decades.

This copy is pressed on dark red translucent vinyl, visible when held up to a strong light—a characteristic found on many early UK Factory pressings using translucent compound.

The record remains an essential piece for Joy Division collectors and one of the most influential British albums of its generation.
