Description

Here it is up for auction! This is the Joy Division "An Ideal For Living" 12" self released by the band on Anonymous Records in 1978. This is the original cover design by Steve McGarry, with scaffolding construction photos on the front and back by D.B. Glen. The Cover (has minor wear around the edges with a very small amount of yellowing) I would still say this is in good condition. The vinyl looks great. Side A grooves read "Don't ever let it fade away". Side B grooves read "I feel it closing in". This is the ORIGINAL Lp pressing! Songs are: Warsaw, No Love Lost, Leaders of Men, and Failures. This was recorded at Pennine Sound Studios, December 1977. They released this record in an edition of 1200 because they felt that the sound would be superior to the 7” they released on Enigma records. I have seen this going from $250 - $800 on ebay and since I have had it for years and got it used so long ago. I feel like letting you all pay what you want for it. Keep in mind. This is one of the first pieces in the Warsaw, Ian Curtis, New Order, Factory records lineage. Pre Peter Saville designing covers for them and Martin Hannett recording and producing them.
