Description
Up for auction here is a very rare and unique lp. This is a copy of Journey of Persephone by the George School of Newtown, Pennsylvania. The lp is self described as "a children's musical drama written and produced by the drama and music departments of The George School". I'm guessing if you've made it this far, you're fairly familiar with the lp, but it not the information is easily obtained through a Google search. As far as I can tell this is the first time this lp has came up for auction. The vinyl is in great shape, and has been cleaned on a VPI machine. I've played it a couple times, and before that I can't imagine it was played more than once or twice. One or two extremely faint sleeve scuffs that affect the play in no way whatsoever. The cover is fairly rough compared to the vinyl. First, it looks to be missing it's back paste on slick. The front paste on is completely detached. It also looks to have come into contact with some water in its travels, as can be seen by the stains along the bottom of the front. The insert also shows some rippling and light staining where it got wet. The actual cover is also split, 3 inches in on the top seam and 7.5 inches on the bottom seam. Regardless of the condition of the cover, this lp is one of the coolest/weirdest things I've come across.
