Journey "Infinity" 1978 Promo Copy, Excellent Condition

The vinyl disc was visually inspected and appears to be in NM condition.  Track 5 on Side 1 (Patiently) has a small manufacturing imperfection. The song was test played and tracked okay with no skips or pops. The disc has 1978 red Columbia labels.  The cover has minor shelf wear but no creases. There is a gold promo stamp on the rear cover. The catalog number JC 34912 appears on spine and labels. Catalog number 34912 appears on back cover and inner sleeve. This version does not feature the band member's names on the back cover.  It has the original inner sleeve with lyrics on both sides.  The inner sleeve has some original creases but no side splits. The disc will be shipped in a plain white sleeve.  Please zoom in on the provided photos to see the overall condition of this item.

Infinity is Journey's fourth album, released in January of 1978. Infinity marked a drastic change in the band's approach, by focusing on songwriting and paying closer attention to vocals and lyrical content, including the inclusion of vocalist Steve Perry, who would share vocal duties with keyboardist and previous vocalist, Gregg Rolie. Journey's new approach brought chart success in regards to the album: “Wheel In The Sky”, “Lights,” and “Anytime” were released as singles, and although they did not chart as well as the album itself, "Lights" and "Wheel In The Sky" have become two of Journey's best-known songs. The album is also well-known for "Feeling That Way", which had a music video and has remained modestly popular despite not being released as a single.

Seller is also selling Journey's "Evolution" LP, an original 1979 promo copy which is in near mint condition, with non-standard "demonstration copy" white labels and a DJ timing sticker on the front cover and gold promo stamp on rear cover.  If interested in both LPs, shipping can be combined.

Seller is the Original Owner. I have recently begun to list my 2500+ record collection on Ebay, so please check back occasionally to see my new listings. My collection has been securely boxed and stored in a smoke free environment since 1983. Most of my vinyl records have never been played, and many have their original shrink wrap. Seller was in the retail record business in the 1970's-1980's and acquired many promotional and collectible LPs from that era.

Grading methodology is as follows:

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and has never been played.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. May have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, sawcut, or cut corner indicating it is a promotional copy.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches, or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, etc.

Seller ships domestically within the United States via United States Post Office Media Mail with tracking. This is the most economical option. Due to COVID, shipping may take longer than the typical 5-8 day time frame.  Seller will insure packages valued above $30.  Insurance does not cover missing packages after they have been delivered to the buyer's address, only damage or loss during shipping. Warping is possible if vinyl records are exposed to sun/heat during hot months. Provide a shady area for your package delivery, and bring package inside as soon as possible.  If Buyer would prefer a faster shipping service, please contact the Seller before completing the transaction to discuss options such as Priority Mail. Per USPS, Priority Mail packages are delivered in 1-3 days.
