Description
The Unreleased First Record Acetate of Joni Mitchell. Recorded in Chicago on November 6th & 7th, 1966 with the Siegel/Schwall Blues Band. Although Joni would record both Songs from this Session a Year and a half later, these versions have a complete band behind her and feature a horn section. I've only ever played it once to transfer digitally. It didn't seemed to have ever been played before. This is only one of three Acetates produced from these sessions. She was offered a Poor Contract with Vanguard Records and Elektra Records wanted the Music Publishing Rights which she didn't wish to give up. I've included a Small Sample of Side One ( The Circle Game) " Night in the City" is the flip side. It'a a 10 inch 45RPM in near mint Condition. It has United Sound Systems, Detroit typed label over the Original handwriting Dub-Plate yellow Label.
