Description
Hello there ! Up for auction is a used copy of the infamous "Orgasm" album by John's Children. Originally recorded in London, England in 1967 but not released on LP until 1970. Due to the controversy surrounding the title of the album, the Daughters of the Revolution caused a scene and eventually had the album shelved. It was essentially banned in the United States at the time. It was finally released on White Whale Records. The Catalogue number is WW7128. This is a stereo pressing. The record is G+/VG- with some light surface wear. There are a few slightly heavier marks on side two but they do not affect playback. The label is in pretty good shape. There are some spindle marks but not too bad. We played this back with a Sumiko Pearl cartridge and routed through an Adcom two-channel amplifier. This is a pretty good recording, just pay no attention to the screaming girls ! The cover is G/G+/VG- with some light to moderate wear. There are some minor corner dents and light ring wear. For the most part, the cover is pretty clean. No writing is present here. The top of the cover has a little bit more wear but it does not appear to be horribly bad. There is a small seam split right at the corner. It is about an inch long. The spine is in good shape and is readable when shelved. This is the only place where you will find the word "Orgasm" printed. Here is a chance to own an infamous album ! Don't pass this by as this is a bit of a rarity.
