Description

The Complete Johnny Hodges 1951-55, MOSAIC MR6-126. Six vinyl LP's with booklet. Number 0843 of an edition limited to 7500.

Condition of records, box, and booklet is mint minus, practically new. Money back guarantee that condition is as described.

The master saxophonist is heard on 15 sessions recorded 1951-1955 for Norman Granz's Norgran and Clef labels. Hodges' associates include fellow Ellingtonians Lawrence Brown, Al Sears, Sonny Greer, Ben Webster, Shorty Baker, Jimmy Hamilton, Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, Harry Carney, Billy Strayhorn, & Jimmy Woode, in addition to Emmett Berry, Flip Phillips, John Coltrane, and others.
