Description

Johnny Griffin Blue Note Album "The Congregation". A blue Note reissue mastered from the original analog tape. The highest quality gatefold cover features original session photography on the inside. The album has been played once on a transcription unit with a stylus >1g and is in mint condition. as is the cover. Teamed with pianist Sonny Clark in a quartet, with Paul Chambers and Kenny Dennis 
Johnny Griffin, like the very best jazz musicians, meant every note that he played and his solos were full of constant surprises, making his best recordings timeless. The Congregation is one of his finest albums.
