John Patton on Blue Note 4130
This is the original Van Gelder-stamped “P”-pressing of John Patton “Along Came John” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4130. The playing surface is as new – immaculate – with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated West 61st cover is clean and bright throughout; “Review Copy” stamped at the top of the back slick, with what appears to be some slight residue from the ink pad to the left; minor wear at the corners; 2” clean split at the center of the bottom seam. Illustrated inner sleeve is included.
