John McCormack, born in Athlone, Ireland, was one of the most celebrated concert tenors of the early 20th century. Known for his exceptional diction and lyrical phrasing, he performed everything from operatic arias to Irish ballads, becoming a household name in the U.S. and Britain with sold-out concerts across both countries.
