JOHN MAYALL - 'THE TURNING POINT'
1969 UK 1st PRESSING LP
My listings a this week include an extensive collection of albums by the 'Godfather of the British Blues' scene - John Mayall.
His musical career spans fifty years and he has just released his 57th album. However, most notable period of his work ocurred during the late '60s, which is where most of this collection dates from.
He was the founder of John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and has been influential in the careers of many instrumentalists, including: Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Peter Green, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor, Don "Sugarcane" Harris, Harvey Mandel, Larry Taylor, Aynsley Dunbar, Hughie Flint, Jon Hiseman, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Andy Fraser, Johnny Almond, Jon Mark, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya, and Buddy Whittington. & his Bluesbreakers.
All discs in this collection have been put together by a single collector over many years and represent a rare opportunity to acquire most of his greatest LPs, all in outstanding condition.
This is a superb example of his first LP after leaving Decca in 1969. It is on the classic red Polydor label: 583571
It is housed within an unlaminated 'MacNeill' printed cover, complete with rare fold-out leaflet
This disc also comes with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: 583571 A//1 & 583571 B//1
Disc weight: 142g
