A Description of the Record Package:

In INCREDIBLE close to mint condition, this is an **Original UK 1st Issue** APPLE Vinyl LP for John Lennon’s ‘Shaved Fish’. This album was released in by EMI UK in November 1975.

This Vinyl LP is on the traditional Apple Label, with ’An Apple Record’, ‘An EMI Recording’ and ‘Mfd in UK’ label text . The Vinyl LP is protected in its Original Card Lyric Inner Sleeve, and is housed in its original Laminated Picture Sleeve, with track listing and Apple logo to the reverse.

The dead wax matrixes and stamper information:

The Side 1 matrix is: YEX 949-1U, Side 2 Matrix: YEX 950-1U – confirming the album to be a first issue. The Side 1 stampers are: '2', 'GOM’, and side 2 stampers: '4', 'RAM'.

A Grading Assessment:

Both sides of the record labels are, without hesitation, in **close to mint** condition. Bright, clean and unfaded record labels, with no handwriting and No tearing, showing just a couple of very light trace spider marks (and these can only be seen if you scrutinise the record labels at all angles). Both sides of the Vinyl LP are also in SUPERB **close to mint** condition - the Vinyl Looks NEW- It is Gleaming and totally unworn. Both sides of the Laminated Sleeve is also in REMARKABLE condition and graded in **close to mint** condition, as is the the Red Inner Sleeve. The Outer sleeve is CRISP and FIRM, and all the edges, corners and the Spine are in IMPRESSIVE condition. There is NO tearing, NO seam splitting, and NO handwriting or damage to any part of the sleeve.

An Assessment of the Playing Quality:

Both sides of the album play **BEAUTIFULLY**. There are No clicks, No Pops, No Skips, No Jumps and No distortion – just a warm and clear sound throughout! The record shows no warping.

A NEAR PERFECT example of this Original UK 1st Issue Lennon album, it would fit very nicely into any SUPERIOR Beatles/Lennon collection and would never require upgrading!
