Up for auction is a promotional issue of John Lennon’s debut studio album backed by the Plastic Ono Band and released by Apple Records on December 11, 1970. The copy remains factory sealed contains an original Day-Glo “Special Promotion” sticker with an Apple Records promo punch in the upper right-hand corner of the front cover which also has an original rare variation clear “Latest JOHN LENNON featuring – Hold On John” track listing hype sticker with red print. The bottom left corner of the back cover contains the band name as well as the “Manufactured by Apple Records, Inc. 1700 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10019” credits and “Printed in U.S.A.” print. The album is in great vintage Mint condition with the fully intact shrink wrap containing the original breathe holes.
