Description
An original 1st pressing of Imagine on the UK Apple label. Matrix 1U/1U. Stampers 2-OD/2-OG. Etching Porky/Pecko. Nice heavy set vinyl. The record comes housed in an original pinched spine cover which is fully laminated. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve, with the promotional poster and postcard. 100% original and 100% complete. It's plays fantastically well too which is a bonus...
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Shiny like new and clearly has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I cannot make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetween are nice and quiet and the audio comes with minimal interference. All we detected was a couple of ultra fine static crackles in Imagine and a few light crackles in 'Why?'. Playback though out is absolutely superb and it doesn't take a genius to work out why these 1st press copies are the defacto go to copies for best audio. The sound has perfect clarity and balance through out the audio spectrum. If you want to hear this LP in its truest form then do seriously consider this copy.
Cover (Vg+) Has been well cared for and remains in excellent condition. First thing to mention is that it is not suffering from fade like so many other copies. Look at the colours in the photos - that's the true colour of the image for this LP [Proper blues - bold and striking]. Front and back are nice and shiny with only some light creases. Please note the bottom seam was originally taped and this has since been removed. It has, however, left residue which has picked up some dust and dirt over time. All seams/flipbacks are intact and secure. The pinched spine is in excellent condition as you can see from the pics.
Poster (Ex+) Hard to find fault. Absolutely unmarked, no rips or creasing. It doesn't appear to have aged either and most certainly never ended up on a wall. Pretty much as new.
Postcard (Ex+) Perfectly white with no signs of ageing. The rear is perfectly white and intact too.
Inner (Ex) Only the very lightest signs of ageing. But no marks and no seam splits.
