Description
This is a first press copy of John Lennon's Imagine.
It has the matrix numbers YEX 865-1U and YEX 866-1U and the words PORKY and PECKO hand etched on sides one and two in that order.
The fully laminated sleeve is in good, perhaps very good, condition. It has some ringwear, shelfwear, creasing and is coming away slightly at the top seam – though a spot of glue would remedy that.
The record itself is still lovely and shiny with only a few light marks to be seen. I last played it a few years ago and noted at the time that it played excellently with only the odd feint tick on How and some minor feint crackle on Oh My Love.
It has it’s original lyric inner which is a little worn around the opening, has some creasing and a 3? split on one side.
The poster is present and is in excellent condition - a few age spots but no writing or pin holes.
It also has it’s original postcard which is in excellent shape.
