Description

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

An incredible find!  An original 1962 deep groove mono Vee Jay VJLP 1043 color band label pressing of John Lee Hooker's Burnin' with the title on BOTH labels misprinted as "Pure"!  I have lived in Chicago my entire life and in all my 40+ years of collecting I have had over 20 copies of this LP pass though my hands and never seen this misprint before.  I have contacted several trusted hardcore blues collectors and none of them had ever seen one or were aware of its existence.  VERY likely one of a kind.  Absolutely ZERO Google hits.  Good luck ever finding another.  LP is VG/VG+ with a few very light surface scuffs on side 2, none of which can be even remotely felt and cover is VG+ with some light wear on the top and bottom edge.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:  MINT (SEALED)NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYEDVG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USEVG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIALVG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGSGOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISEPOOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
