Rare find for collectors or fans. Clearing out vinyl records due to space and not played in decades and found this gem. My husband was a DJ at a radio station and the owner gave this to him after it aired in 1979. The two albums were sent to the radio station to play for the John Denver Special (as they were for all the NBC radio stations). This is the two album set used at the radio special on air and the special aired over three days (May 18-19-20). As far as my husband knows it was only played for the broadcast. It is possible he played it once or twice afterwards but he does not remember ever playing it, just had it in his collection. We did play it to make sure it plays and it does and still sounds great. I would not call it mint, but overall in near mint or excellent shape for being over 35 years old. Really fun to listen to with John Denver talking about how he came up with his songs. The songs are played in full, not cut short or played over talking as they would do today. It has the John Denver hit songs up to 1979 including the classics like "Leaving on a Jet Plane, Rocky Mountain High", "Annie's Song" and many more.
There is no cover for the two albums and my husband does not believe they had a cover (came in box to the radio station and were not meant for release or sale.) The sleeves are aged but still hold the albums. The albums were stored in our house indoors.
