Description
Blue Note BLP 1577. rare John Coltrane-Blue Trane lp. this is a MONO press with the 47 West 63rd NYC on the label i believe this is a DG press(check the photo of the label). there is RVG and the "ear" in the dead wax. now the bummer! the record is not in great condition. there are many scratches, some of them feelable. the record plays with surface noise(pops, clicks, etc) but actually plays better than it looks. of course, like any other record, the defects are more noticeable during softer passages visual grade is around G. i spot played the record and didn't detect any skips. the jacket is in much better condition. there are some corner rubs and the front has mild surface rubbing, taking some of the sheen off, but not showing any wear. the back has lite soiling and some lite stains. the edges are very strong. no splits or rubbing. jacket is pretty nice and grades vg+. i've seen this lp sell for 5 or 6 hundred dollars in clean condition. here's a chance to fill a hole in your collection or upgrade your cover for a cheap price.
