Description

The original pressing of John Coltrane Cosmic Music on Coltrane Records AU 4950. The record is mint in every respect. The gatefold cover shows slight rubbing on the front and more pronounced ringwear on the back - both typical of the original cover. It should be noted that, according to the recently published John Coltrane Reference (Routledge Press), the footnote on page 750 cites AU 4950 as the original pressing while CRS 5000 (with a laminated cover) is shown as a reissue. Personnel includes Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Jimmy Garrison, and Rashid Ali.
