Description
John Coltrane, Lush Life, VG OG MONO. RVG, Deep Groove, and A/B pressing plant in deadwax/runout both sides. 1st Pressing, Prestige PRLP 7881
Play-tested and plays beautifully. This is the 1961 MONO 1st pressing, medium glossy with no feelable scratches. Both sides have visible paper scuffs and non-feelable scratches. Record plays much better than vinyl looks, with light to moderate surface noise throughout but which doesn't overpower strong, clear, undistorted music signal. There are only a few seconds of light ticking in several places. Seams are taped closed, as is spine which has very legible original text. Small ding in upper left corner of jacket front. Original Sam Goody sticker on lower right corner of jacket back which can easily be removed with blow dryer. I kept it on for decades for sentimental value. Next to sticker are initials of Sam Goody clerk on W. 49th St, NYC, who rung me up in 1962. That was Goody's sales procedure in 1960s.
