Original mono pressing with yellow label, Bergenfield NJ address on center label and RVG in dead wax. Record has a few light surface marks. Side A plays very quietly with only an occasional light tick. No clicks or pops. Side B has surface noise and a number of light ticks at the beginning of the 1st track, including 1 pop about 2 minutes in. The noise lightens up but is still present up until Donald Byrd's solo and then plays quietly for the rest of the tune. The last tune has repetitive light click for 12 revolutions. No groove distortion and the music dominates. Cover has very light shelf wear on the glossy front cover and is overall near mint. This record has been professionally cleaned on a Keith Monks Record Cleaning Machine and stored in an audiophile quality sleeve. Includes original Prestige paper sleeve.
Side A features Coltrane with Earl May and Arthur Taylor playing Like Someone In Love, I Love You and Trane's Slow Blues. Side B has Coltrane with Donald Byrd, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and either Louis Hayes or Al Heath and they play Lush Life and I Hear A Rhapsody.

We do not play grade MOST of our records so we guarantee our visual grading with a money back guarantee that includes shipping. All records are visually graded under bright light. If we do play grade a record, we will let you know about any noise or flaws in detail in our description. You may or may not agree with our grade or grading system but our description will be complete and accurate for you to make your own grade assessment. Generally, we do not list records below EX- condition unless it is exceptionally rare. We do not recommend audiophiles bid on records in less than NM condition. Our grading standard is as follows.
Mint is only used for sealed records or records that we are certain have never been played.
NM or Near Mint is for the most part as good as it gets! No marks and will play clean with no noise unless inherent in the pressing.
EX+ Will generally have minor flaws like sleeve scuffs, but will overall be near mint.
EX or Excellent will have light surface marks and some light background noise in spots and/or a couple light clicks or ticks.
EX- Overall an Excellent copy with light surface marks, but with something that distracts, like a small scratch that makes a few pops or a few light repetitive clicks.
VG+ Consistent background noise or a few pops. No skips or sticking. Still a playable copy.
VG will have problems. Noise will dominate. May have quite a few pops and possibly a quick skip. Groove distortion possible.
VG- Will probably have a skip or two and will be noisy throughout.
G = Our lowest grade and is actually a poor record.
Cover grading -
Mint = perfect!
NM = Damn near perfect, at most a minor corner impact.
EX+ = Overall near mint but with up to 3 minor flaws such as a minor corner impact, small amount of writing like a name or date or less than 1/2 inch split or very slight shelf wear.
EX = May have one split up to 3 inches, light shelf wear, corner impact up to 1/2 inch or light shelf wear.
EX- Splits up to 3 inches or one split up to 5 inches, light to moderate shelf wear or ring wear.
VG+ = Possible full length split on one seam, moderate shelf wear but still holding together plus other flaws.
VG = splits, wear, a filler cover.
VG- or below = rough! All cover flaws will be well described.
