Description
John Coltrane, Lush Life, G+ vinyl and jacket. OG MONO. RVG, Deep Groove, and A/B pressing plant in deadwax/runout both sides. 1st Pressing, Prestige PRLP 7881
This is the 1961 MONO 1st pressing. Play-tested and plays much better than it looks: mild to moderate surface noise in many sections. Medium glossy with no feelable scratches. Both sides have visible paper scuffs and non-feelable scratches. Surface noise doesn't overpower strong, clear, undistorted music signal. There are only a few seconds of very light ticks/clicks in several places. Seams are taped closed, as is spine which has very legible original text. Small ding in upper left corner of jacket front. Original Sam Goody sticker on lower right corner of jacket back which can easily be removed with blow dryer. I kept it on for decades for sentimental value. Next to sticker are initials of Sam Goody clerk on W. 49th St, NYC, who rung me up in 1962. That was Goody's sales procedure in 1960s.
