Description
John Coltrane (with Eric Dolphy, McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, Elvin Jones, Reggie Workman) IMPRESSIONS Impulse 42, recorded 1961. Mono original. Orange and black label. ABC inner sleeve. Back of jacket says “Product of ABC-Paramount Records”). Disc plays Ex+; one pop during in-chorus to the title track is from organic substance that can easily be cleaned away. Some groove whisper is noticeable in quiet passages, and esp After The Rain. . Jacket has faint wear marks to the white panels on inside of gatefold, and very faint rub wear to the white stripe on back cover. Lower spine corner is rubbed white from handling.
Here’s the tenth of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well. Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence.
