Description
This is Impulse Records AS-30, Duke Ellington & John Coltrane, an orange and black, ABC-Paramount label, original* stereo issue of this great recording with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG++ condition showing a few light sleeve marks that do not affect the play. The record plays quietly throughout. The glossy gate-fold cover is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with no spindle marks. An original inner sleeve is included. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is a superb collector's grade copy of this classic record. This is part of my personal collection that I will be selling (slowly) over the next few months and years. I am offering eight Coltrane Impulse titles this week. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple wins. Thanks for looking. * Am-Par labels were used until AS-33 but ABC-Paramount labels were also used in 1963 the year this album was released. Since this is a transition issue, I feel confident in calling this an original issue. However, knowing there are Am-Par labels of this record, you can make up your own mind.
