Description

This is Prestige Records PRLP 7105, John Coltrane Coltrane, a yellow, 446 W.50th St. NYC, deep groove labeled, original mono issue of this historic recording (Coltrane's 1st as a leader) with RVG etched in the dead wax. The record is in VG(+) condition showing marks on both sides but playing with only occasional light background crackle audible in the quiet spots. No skips and no distortion. Nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of music. The laminated cover shows a bit of age discoloration on the back but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels have light spindle marks. This would make an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this rare original issue. The record has been  cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
