Description
Here's a test pressing of John Coltrane's Blue Train mastered all analog from the master tapes as part of the Music Matters series. I believe this test is from 2014 though there's no date stamped to confirm.
Condition: Vinyl has a couple light scuffs and marks. Still largely glossy and unplayed. It sounds nice. The Music Matters series has great sound.
Cover: Comes with cover from Music Matters 2014 cut. Nice, light shelf wear.
Why are test pressings interesting? They're often the first cuttings off the stamper and for that reason could be said to be the closest thing possible to the master tape on vinyl. A cool, rare collectible.
