I’ll try to describe the features of this record to identify its pressing:


Circle R on Blue Note label appears in later 1959.


address on back cover with INC, this variation of Blue Note sleeve was only used in the later half of 1959 for a brief period before the address changed


Some versions of this release have a variation in the address printed on the rear of jacket as 43 West 61st St., New York 23. THIS VERSION HAS THIS ADDRESS VARIATION


Deep Groove

Plastylite “P” or “ear”

RVG etched.



Record is VG: it has some minor scratches and scuffs (see photos)


This record still sounds great. Check video for minor pop from scratch on side one


Side 2 scratch even less audible (again, listen to video)


The Outer sleeve is in VG+ with clean lamination on the front. Minor corner wear.


Sleeve back has some discoloration and handwriting in upper left (price?)

I pack my records carefully. I remove the record from the outer sleeve and place it on top, and protect it with bubble wrap. All is protected between cardboard and then shipped in a proper record mailer and marked “fragile” Shipping price reflects US Media Mail $5.22 plus $3.00 for my shipping materials.
