Description
John Coltrane Blue Train Blue Note 1577 MONO 47 West 63rd Street RVG and EAR stamped NYC pressing (not the NY 23). The LP has Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. This is the 47 West 63rd Street NYC edition and here is the 100 percent accurate description. The cover, as you can clearly see is probably G+ only due to a piece of it stripped off the front middle. The LP itself will be VG as it does have some light eraser like surface marks on Side 2 and Side 1 has one small one. Plays super strong and I love the sound. This obviously is not a mint condition copy, but it is not trashed either, the cover is yes but the LP is VG and I stand strongly behind that grading. If mint this would be a 4-figure listing easily, but it is well worth looking into. I will not use any reserves BUT I reserve the right to pull this treasure if on the last day the bidding in in the very low numbers where someone is looking to grab this for the lowest price possible, I will just keep it if that is the case. Technically this is an original pressing, but I know the NY 23 version is the one that gets the big bucks. Low opening bid to spur interest but this is a vintage recording. PLEASE no low ball offers for this one. Sold AS IS due to the cover being not the best.
