Offered for sale is an original pressing of John Coltrane's landmark album on the Blue Note label. This is among the first pressing of the album. I have used LondonJazzCollector as my reference to determine the version of this release and have listed below all the factors that went into this identification.
Note:
- My reputation on Ebay and Amazon as a seller is based on complete transparency and honesty in my dealings. I am not a business but an individual with an expensive hobby :) This record is being offered for sale to fund other purchases.
- I have tried to be conservative representing the condition of the disc but also feel that the various grading systems are entirely subjective. The disc has surface scratches that are visible at an angle but are superficial.
- The disc does not skip and sounds pristine. If you wish to listen to this, please let me know and I can upload a playback of this disc, for your reference. I will upload it to YouTube or SoundCloud.
- Please look at the pictures for the condition. The last picture shows 3 imperfections on the cover. I don't possess great photography skills to show the surface scratches or the imprints on the runout groove.
- Send me any questions and I will try to answer them promptly and to the best of my knowledge.
Condition of the Record:
Cover: VG Spline has a 4 inch rip that was taped as shown in the pictures. Minor rips but the cover retains the brightness and sheen of the image and is not faded. Last picture shows 3 areas denoted with arrows that have blemishes.
Record: VG Record has surface scratches that are superficial and plays flawlessly. No deep scratches. I have owned this record for 5 years now and have played it on a high end Turntable a few times and it sounds brilliant.
