Description

Original orange-label Impulse! pressing of John Coltrane's 'Ballads', featuring McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones, and engineered by Rudy Van Gelder. (This is the version that has "Bell Sound" stamped in the dead wax, as opposed to "Rudy Van Gelder".) It was mastered at Bell Sound Studios on W. 54th St., in NYC.  Vinyl is in excellent condition and plays beautifully. The laminate coating on the back cover has become partially peeled off.
