Original private pressing from 1958 with deep grooves. Mono copy. 3 record set with booklet and 24 sheets of music and notations. Side 3 has a light sleeve scuff that should not sound. The rest of the records have an occaisional sleeve scuff that do not sound, The box has a piece of scotch tape along the spine, the top left corner has a split, a small stain in the top right corner and Mono is written at the bottom of the front cover. Too much stuff to list. Suffice it to say this is a very well preserved and very rare documentation of Cage's work.

It was recorded in performance at Town Hall May 15, 1958; 12 manuscripts with annotations & 12 page booklet on brown paper, Recorded in performance at Town Hall, New York, May 15, 1958. Features many of Cage's best known works, including the revolutionary and experimental "Williams Mix", a musique concrete project comprised of random sounds.

There will be a $1 to $2 handling fee on all orders depending on size and the amount of packing needed to ship safely. 78 RPM record take very careful packing and use a lot of materials and time.

We do not play grade most of our records so we guarantee our visual grading with a money back guarantee that includes shipping. Generally, we do not list records below EX- condition unless it is exceptionally rare. We do not recommend audiophiles bid on records in less than NM- condition. Our grading standard is as follows.

Mint = only used for sealed records or records that we are certain have never been played.

Near Mint or NM - for the most part as good as it gets! No marks and will play clean with no noise.

EX+ - Will generally have one or two minor flaws, but will overall be near mint.

EX or Excellent, surface marks and background noise. Overall a very playable copy.

EX- Overall an Excellent copy with light surface marks, but with something that distracts, like a small scratch that makes a few pops.

VG+ Consistent background noise with pops that might annoy. Still a playable copy.

VG has many problems. Noise will dominate. May have quite a few pops.

VG- May have a skip or two and will definitely be very noisy.

G = Stands for good, our lowest grade. The noise on this record will be annoying
