Description

Joe Henderson Page One LP - Blue Note Records 4140, 1963 - VG+/VG High Fidelity Mono First Pressing

Van Gelder stamp and Plastylite ear (Pressed In New Jersey). Liner notes by Kenny Dorham.

PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS.

All three original components are included:

1. LP record - VG+. Faint surface scratches and spots visible.

2. Original outer sleeve - VG+. All four corners are worn. The laminate coating is starting to fray along the right side/sleeve opening. General signs of aging (yellowing) are present, especially along edges for this 56-year-old LP record. There are a few small brown spots near the top left corner of sleeve. The sleeve bends slightly upward. The right side of back cover is slightly wavy. Barely noticeable, very faint ring wear on the front cover is visible when held up to the light but is more noticeable and present on the back cover. No writing or tape. No split seams.

3. Original Blue Note inner sleeve - There is seam split along bottom middle sleeve (LP pokes through the bottom); split seams on both sides but the sleeve is technically still intact; signs of aging paper, especially along the sleeve edges. The top edges/opening have small tears and fraying less than 1/2-inch wide.

This genuine first mono pressing includes the following details:

- "NEW YORK USA" listed on both sides of the LP labels

- Address at bottom of back cover reads "43 West 61st St., New York 23"

- Deadwax area has the Plastylite "ear" (aka the pretzel-shaped hand etched "P") and the VAN GELDER stamp; the cat.nr. is hand etched

- The front cover is laminated
