Description
Hi. I'm Joe from "Joe Goes," the biggest YouTube celebrity in the world. Men want to be me. Women want to be with me. Cats don't really give a shit. YouTube(dot)com/JoeGoes
I'm selling my broken camcorder, autographed, as a souvenir, to a fan of my show. Or I guess you could buy it if you're not a fan of the show, and use it to curse me with voodoo spells. I will sign "To (your name)" on the side with the empty space in the pic.
The camera is a Canon Vixia HFM300, and I got it in 2011. Google it for the technical details. Ebay won't let me post a link because they suck.
The viewfinder no longer works. It shows a bright white screen. So you no longer can see what you're shooting. I took it to a camera repair place, and it costs too much to repair to be worth it. (If you want specifics, it's a $400 camera, and according to them, repairs would be like $250. It's old and Canon doesn't have the parts in stock so they would need to ship it in from Tokyo or something and it would take 3-4 weeks. It's a whole thing.)
So I bought a new camcorder. It's time for a new one anyway. But instead of just letting this one collect dust, I thought it would be fun to sell it to a fan, and maybe the money will off set the price of the new camera a little. Or maybe nobody will buy it, in which case I'll chuck it out the window at old lady while I'm driving. I don't really care.
I've used this camera to shoot almost everything on my YouTube channel for the past four years. That's over 200 videos, visiting 12 different countries (England, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc) and dozens and dozens of events (Comic-Con, BlizzCon, the Gathering of the Juggalos, AdultCon, Gay Pride, Bronies, etc) Pretty much everything from 2011 to 2015.
DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT A FUNCTIONAL CAMERA. IT IS BROKEN. I'M SELLING IT AS A SOUVENIR.
Yes, all that's wrong with it is the broken viewfinder. I guess you could repair it, but that's all on you, dude / girl / who am I kidding? dude. I was told by a place in LA it would cost $250 to repair. Possibly you could repair it for more or less, I don't know. I'm selling this assuming it's broken forever, like my heart after Robin said she said she wouldn't go to the prom with me. YOU'RE THE WORST, ROBIN. But hey, if you want, I'll throw in the charger and the little battery it came with.
(Warning: camera may smell like Tanya Tate)
Note: The only way to see what you're shooting is through that viewfinder. There is no eyehole. Also, the camera has been to 11 countries, not 12. I forgot, we used the ad agency's cameras in Tokyo. So this particular camera has not been to Japan. But if you wish I could smother it in sushi and Hello Kitty dolls.
