SPECIAL INFO: Here is a scarce recording of an interview promoting the "Western Racing Associations" presentation of Indianapolis Sprint Car Racing in Boise, Idaho.

The upcoming race was to be held at the Boise Paragon on the Boise Fairgrounds (holds about 8,000 fans) on a Saturday evening in 19?? (date unknown)

Lots of questions were directed to racing legend, Joe Gemsa and Jim Harris of Long Beach, California. They mentioned that the Canadian champion, Bob Simpson would also participate in the race.

They said the Offenhauser engine (approx. $6,000.00) would be used in some of the cars. The (approx. $15,000.00) cars would not be using gasoline, but would use alcohol with some adding "nitromethane." The 85" wheel-base was spoken about, as well. 200 HP, too!

Lourdes of London was insuring the drivers in the event of death or for incapacity until recovery.

Joe revealed how racing had been in his blood his entire life and how he lost a finger at the age of 2 1/2 by putting his hand in a cycle chain.

I have tried to give an overview of the approx. 14 minute interview. Hope you find this an interesting find.

CONDITION: As described above. It appears that the vinyl can be cleaned-up,

but I did not want to alter it in any way.
