Joe Bataan combined his Latin roots with the sound and rhythm of New York's young Latin community many of whom who spoke better English than Spanish. On this album recorded in 1968 Joe combines the rock oriented Boogaloo beat with a Latin feel and concept that was truly a New York original. Mixing English and Spanish on different cuts you can hear how Joe was definitely a historical part of the New York Salsa scene.
