Mega rare original LP of Jimmy Smith - House Party (Blue Note 4002 - mono) Original issue blue and white labels with 63rd St address, Deep Groove, Ear and RVG on both sides. Also no trademark "R" on either label. Smith's early date for Blue Note also features Lee Morgan, Tina Brooks, Kenny Burrell, Art Blakey and many other Blue Note greats in an acknowledged classic that no serious jazz collector can be without.
The LP is in VG+ condition with marks that will make some noise - not for the audiophile, but certainly not trashed either - still, you will hear some noise on this one. The cover is in solid VG+ condition with some general age/shelf wear, a small bit of tape on the lower seam (near the opening) and a small original rubber stamp on the back liner. Not perfect, but how many originals on this do you see anymore at any price?
