Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 4050, Jimmy Smith Home Cookin' a blue and white, 47 West 63rd NYC, microgroove label original * mono issue of this excellent record with RVG and the ear (p) mark stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG condition showing marks on both sides but and playing with no skips or distortion and just mild background. The laminated cover has clear tape on the bottom seam but is otherwise intact. The labels are unmarked but with light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is a nice "play" grade copy of this original mono Blue Note record. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple wins. Thanks for looking. *there are copies with a deep groove label. Since the early 60s deep groove "centers" had been phased out, so the absence of a deep groove on an early 60s Blue Note record (after 4058) with all the other indicators present does not indicate a later pressing.
