Description

Up for bid this week is a collectable and very desirable record by Jimmy Ruffin on the Miracle Label, #MIR 1. Not only does this record have an awesome ballad title Heart, It also has a great up-tempo Soul tune called Don't Feel Sorry For me. This record is sought after for several reasons: it is early Motown, from 1961, when Motown Records was still setting up their company; it is Jimmy Ruffin's first record, a full 5 years before his mega-hit What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted; and it is Northern Soul at its finest.

The Record is in extremely Fine Condition, EX++. The up-tempo side has the initials "DR" at the 3 o'clock position. There are a few very light marks that do not affect the sound quality of either side. The surface of this record has full gloss and full fidelity. It was test played on a Technics SL-1200 MK2 turntable. A few light "pops" can be heard only at the beginning of each side before the music begins, and in the trail-off. As with many record of this era, the disc is pressed on styrene instead of pure vinyl. However, as this disc was probably played no more than a half dozen times, have no fear about crackle or hiss associated with over-played styrene records. The record comes in early vintage Motown sleeve.

45 year old records of this rarity almost never turn up this clean. if You'v been looking for this excellent record for a while, be sure to grab it while you can; it won't last long!
