Description

Kentucky singer-songwriter Jimmy Lloyd (1922-2001) was a 35-year-old country artist when he recorded a pair of rockabilly singles for Roulette Records at Owen Bradley’s Nashville studio.

“Where The Rio De Rosa Flows”/“The Beginning Of The End” was the first release and appeared on the company’s short-lived CW (country & western) series. His second and final disc for Roulette was “I Got A Rocket In My Pocket”.

Both sides of the vinyl are in very good plus (VG+) condition and the disc has been cleaned in an ultrasonic record cleaner. The disc is in an original Roulette company sleeve which is also in VG+ condition. There is some ink on the back side of the sleeve including “Buddy Knox”, another Roulette artist, and the date 11/21/58. Perhaps the sleeve got mixed at the radio station!

This is a white label disc jockey promotional copy. The labels are immaculate.

This copy comes from the collection of a longtime disc jockey and rockabilly collector in Brockton, Massachusetts who has recently passed.
