Jimmy Deuchar Quintet and Sextet featuring Tubby Hayes, Derek Humble, Ken Wray – Pal Jimmy, 1958 LP Tempo TAP 20.
This is a lovely example of the classic LP Pal Jimmy by the Jimmy Deuchar Quintet and Sextet (including Tubby Hayes, Derek Humble, and Ken Wray). It was released on the Tempo label in 1958 – TAP 20. The record is in a nice EX condition over all. Looking really carefully, side two is I think is just about perfect and grades as around EX+. Side one has two - isolated / separate - very light and small scratches. One at the end of the first track and just into the second. This barely sounds. (You really have to be trying hard to hear anything to be aware of it) At the start of the third track the other one sounds as a very quiet 'tick' for about fifteen revolutions. I am still happy to grade this side as EX, but after a couple of questions about the LP (and as nobody has placed a bid yet) I am taking the opportunity to be more specific here in the main description. Both labels are perfectly clean.The fully laminated (but surprisingly light-weight and flimsy) cover grades as EX+. It has no creases, no rips, scribbles, grazes, or stickers etc. There are a couple of slight rubs on the spine but all of the text can be read.
It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important. CONDITION. The majority of items that I list are between forty and sixty years old. Some are older and some may be a few years younger. I have described the condition of the item in my text but where applicable I have also ticked the 'used' box as even where an item is 'perfect', it is very old and logic says it must have been handled and probably used at some time over the decades!
ALL of my AUCTION ITEMS are now listed with postage FREE in the UK.

PACKAGING. Please note that all of my items are well-packed in thick card or in boxes, and then wrapped in good quality brown paper. I do not make any separate charge for packaging materials - everything is included in the final price. Many of my feedback comments mention my good packaging and I will of course continue to meet my own standards.
