Description

An original 1st press on UK Track from 1966 in Mono. The REAL deal. Matrix A1/B1. Now, please note this title is highly collectable and often goes for big $$$. But this copy is priced down due to condition - so do MAKE SURE it is on a level that will fit with your threshold for background. The vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg-) Ok, so it is showing a lot of use. Expect numerous marks. A couple of marks per side are visually noticeable. A couple of marks each side will be feelable and WILL SOUND. That's all very upfront and on the level - if you are in any way expecting a clean player you need to look else where. This copy would suit someone looking to snag this original collectable title at a low price and who can accept said issues [detailed below]. At best it will play at the VERYGOOD level. By that I mean in parts it sounds and plays very nice with no major problems. But that is the BEST level you'll get and it plays 50% at that level. The remaining 50% will play below that. You might experience a bit of background in the odd spot. In 'MAY THIS BE LOVE' & 'Red House' for instance, expect some background and a few clicks and ticks. These tracks are sub-par. A few isolated ticks in Foxy Lady & CUSM - which otherwise play fine. But, overall, for 50%-60% of proceedings...I would say it's play real nice. At a level most folks will thoroughly enjoy. Please be sure you can handle the audible issues elsewhere. Think!!
Cover (Vg+) To be honest this cover is looking very tidy indeed. Many original '66  copies are usually pretty tatty by this point in time. A pretty clean and flat front with some minor creasing. The rear seems to have escaped the worst of the ageing process. Surface wear seems to have been avoided too. Small name top right. Much less edge wear than you typically find on this title. The spine is much better too - text around 80% legible.
