Jimi Hendrix Axis:Bold As Love.
Mono Track LP with laminated gatefold sleeve with flipbacks and MEGA RARE INSERT. 612 003
I will describe this as best as I can and have attached a number of photos.
The Sleeve is in excellent shape overall. There are No creases or tears.It is laminated on the outside with flipbacks into the front and back of the gatefold. The edges have virtually no wear at all, just a couple of tiny nicks on the spine and a little rubbing of the front cover edge on the right hand side next to the titles. The opening (which is in the back part of the gatefold) has some feathering of the edge which is the only real noticeable imperfection. When held up to the light you can see little tiny lines on the laminate and on the back you can see some light indentations where someone has written some words on something which was on top of the sleeeve. I must stress that this is only visible if you're really looking and holding to the light. I've had this record a number of years and have never noticed it before this thorough check. Inside of gatefold is excellent except for small area between Hendrix and Mitch's heads where very lightly in pencil someone has written Axis Bold As Love and a few letters. You'll see from the photo's that this sleeve does look good overall.
The insert is in great shape with just a tiny corner bend in the bottom right and a little rippling, meaning that although there are no creases it is not pristinely flat as it has obviously been looked at and handled quite a bit.
The above is consistant with the disc which has obviously been played a bit as it has a number of spindle marks and light surface marks BUT PLAYS EXCELLENTLY. I have just played it all the way through and it sounds great. Very little lessening in sound quality andI would rate EX by Record collector standards for sound.

If you're looking for a totally Mint copy of this LP then this is not necessarily for you. It sounds fantastic but is not blemish free to look at. Whether you can find a mint copy is another story and this is a very decent one to own.
