Jimi Hendrix - 12 LP 10th Anniversary 1980 Polydor UK Boxset

The outer box has some areas of wear - primarily caused by house moves over the years rather than any day to day use - that I have tried to highlight in the first 6 photos to give a full and accurate impression of its condition.

There is some yellowing to a few areas and a small 3mm tear/ding along the top edge with a bit of shelf wear on corners.

There a couple of minor scuff marks to the front but these do not detract from the main image of Jimi.

Overall though the outer box and the sliding insert which holds the albums is in excellent condition - it is totally solid and robust and does the job it was designed for.

The box also includes a 16 page color photo, essay and discography LP size booklet which has minimal signs of ageing and is fully intact with no rips, tears or creasing.

Polydor 2625 040 Released in 1980.

The outer box isn't however the main reason for buying this collection!

It's the music that matters and as such the sleeves and records inside are in near mint condition with two very minor exceptions.

The lamination on the Electric Ladyland sleeve has cracked internally along the line of the gatefold crease - not as a result of mis treatment - it seems to be a consequence of being compressed in the box itself / the material used.

I have checked eBay sales for the EL vinyl and the majority of the photos show the same issue with this sleeves internal lamination.

The outer edge on the same gatefold has also marked slightly again as a result of the sleeve lamination issue.

Again I have highlighted on the photos so you can be sure on this before bidding.

Otherwise the sleeves are in genuinely excellent condition.

The vinyl inside each album is in immaculate, near mint condition having in most cases never been played as all the albums were duplicated in my collection and these copies not the box set were used for everyday listening.

I have included an example of the condition of one of the albums which is genuinely representative of all of the high grade condition of the vinyl across the complete set.

The sleeves on this set carry a gold embossed LIMITED EDITION BOX SET stamp on the back.

This is a real collectors item - and a superb box set which belies the fact it is over 38 years old.

This is from my own collection and has been owned and carefully looked after from new - I am not a dealer just selling some items which may be of interest to collectors.

An opportunity to buy this box set where the condition of the vinyl and the cover make it a true collectors item.

Comes from a smoke and pet free environment and will be carefully packaged and mailed out in a sturdy protective container.
