Jim Morrison – Three Hours For Magic – The Jim Morrison Special 4 Album Boxed Set

Album box reads: This special includes previously unreleased Jim Morrison material in the form of song, poetry, and interview segments. “Three Hours for Magic” is being produced for London Wavelength by Jon Sargent, in association with Frank Lisciandro, author of the recently published photojournal, “An Hour for Magic”.

This is one of the rarest Doors recordings out there, once even considered a "phantom recording" until a vinyl edition popped up.

This recording was made in 1982 and was to be broadcast in England in '83.

It was pressed in a limited number of 500 vinyl copies that were promos given to radio stations in the early 80's.

Not many copies have survived.

It also contains Jim reading poetry from the Lost Paris sessions of '71.

This is an amazing find for any Doors fan or collector.

Jim Morrison "Three Hours For Magic" original USA 33 1/3 rpm promotional Long-playing (LP) four phonograph record boxed set, London Wavelength Records, There is a seven-page program and script, listing of what is on each of the bands, with cues, listings and times.

This four record boxed set was not released commercially. This promotional only special includes previously unreleased Jim Morrison material in the form of song, poetry, and interview segments, made especially for an FM radio station. Also included are twenty-nine songs by The Doors (Jim Morrison, Robbie Krieger, Ray Manzarek, and John Densmore).

The records are banded so that commercials may be played in-between the segments. Three of the records comprise the three hour special, and one record is commercial spots on one side, and drop-ins and promos on the other side.

There are two different versions of the commercial disc A & B depending on which part of the country the commercials were intended for. This is version A.

CONDITION: No writing on any side. These records have never been played and are in near mint to mint condition. I was given these records as a gift by Jon Sargent as I was living in LA in the early 80’s.

The records come in white sleeves that are yellowed due to age.

The album cover/box has some scuffs due to shelf wear and the back side of box has some foxing (see photos). The program is in great condition.

EXCELLENT RARE FIND!!!
