Up for auction is a TEST PRESSING of Goat, the Jesus Lizard's second LP from 1991 (Touch and Go catalog number T&GLP68). I hate to part with it, because it's a GREAT album, and let's be real: having a test pressing is pretty cool. But I'm buying a new bass, so it's time to let this one go.

The sleeve and inserts I would rate VG/VG+. There are no tears, and the artwork is undamaged since there isn't any - just a plain white cardboard sleeve. The sleeve does exhibit some ringwear, however, and has what appear to be two small marks (less than 1/4" each) from a ballpoint pen on the back. It has also yellowed somewhat from age. The sticker on the sleeve from the pressing plant is yellowed, but is completely intact and legible. The record also includes three inserts: a new release promo sheet on Southern Studios letterhead; a track listing on Southern Studios letterhead (not pictured); and a promo and product listing sheet on Touch and Go letterhead. The inserts have a couple of folds, but they have no tears or marks on them - they're all completely legible and in one piece.

The vinyl I would rate EX/EX+. It has no scratches anywhere, and the center labels are clean and flawless. I have only played this record once since I've had it (since I also have it on CD), and it played perfectly. No surface noise, no pops, nothing.

I have always stored this LP upright inside a sealed polybag - it hasn't been abused or neglected in any way. I have a lot of records, and I take care of all of them. This is a great chance to own a rare and cool version of an awesome album in really nice shape!

EDIT: someone pointed out to me that this item is a promotional copy, not a test pressing. The Touch & Go insert, however, SPECIFICALLY uses the term "test pressing." That is the information I have to go on, so that is the information I'm using. Also, this is a U.K. pressing, whatever it is. Thanks for your understanding.
